The certification of the signature of a translator of documents from abroad will be carried out by all Bulgarian notaries on the spot and not by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in Sofia as it has been so far. In order to ensure legal accuracy, the translator will identify himself / herself in front of the notary with a document issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs certifying that he / she has been included in the list of physical persons performing translations of documents and other papers. For the service up to now the Ministry of Foreign Affairs collected a fee of BGN 15, and with the notaries the same will cost 6 leva.
