Confidence in governments worldwide drops to 44%

Most people in the world do not trust governments. This gap is filled by business. For the first time difference between trust in business (58%) and government (44%) is so great. This shows Global Study Edelman Trust Barometer 2014. The biggest differences are in favor of business in fast-growing economies such as South Africa, Brazil and Mexico (40-50%). In Europe and North America trust is also in favor of businesses in countries such as Poland, Italy and Spain the difference (25-30%) is great for business, while in Germany the difference is only 8%. In China and Turkey trust is divided equally, and in the Netherlands, Sweden, Singapore, UAE and South Korea's confidence in governments is greater.
